When the kitchen splashback is non-negotiable

The perfect home is usually a combination of things you loved about a number of homes you’ve lived in, seen, or even heard about. Sometimes, a new idea will be an innovation that finds its way into other people’s dream homes as well.

But when you have a feature that you really love, that feature has to take priority and that’s exactly what happened with a home we handed over this week. The clients were moving closer to town, building a new home in Richmond Hills.

In their previous home, they had a splashback in the kitchen they simply didn’t want to part with. The solution was start with a great home design for the Mackay climate – the Ali from Esprit Constructions – and work their splashback (and other favourites) into the design.

For those familiar with the Ali design, that meant replacing the fixed kitchen window with a large feature glass splashback and then customising the “Esprit kitchen” to colours that would complement it.

This is a good example for anyone wanting to build a home in Mackay. You can start with what is a really good home design and adapt from there. The Ali has proven to be one of the best home designs Mackay has seen, with a majority of our clients using the design and all of our clients happy with their new home.

Sometimes large chunks of one of our other home designs can be substituted and then flipped, reversed, or even extended to suit your particular lifestyle.

It all starts with that first conversation with the trusted team from Esprit.
